Anxiety / Panic Disorder
It’s a common thing to feel nervous every now and then. Lots of people feel this way, especially when facing difficulty such as work-related problems, planning towards making a vital decision or simply planning for a test. Anxiety disorder varies among individuals and affects how they live their normal life. The cause of this tension, worry and severe anxiety are usually unwarranted and unrealistic. It is a major mental disease. Individuals suffering from these tension and anxiety disorder are constantly disabled and overwhelmed.
Anxiety disorder cases are a panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive and compulsive disorder. People suffering from panic attacks have a constant and a concurrent feeling of fear without prior warning. The daily social occurrence can also be overwhelming and worrisome for those suffering from a social anxiety disorder. Severe tension also arises from having a specific phobia of specific objects or situations like heights or flying. Antidepressants coupled with counseling are effective in treating them.
Symptoms of anxiety attacks
The specific cause of anxiety is really not known, but anxiety disorder just like a major mental sickness, do not arise from bad character, weakness or poor home upbringing. Research on mental illness has made it clearer that these conditions come from brain changes and environmental factors.
Signs of anxiety disorder are:
- Fear, panic and uneasy feeling
- Choking feeling
- Difficulty sleeping
- Cold and wet feet and palms
- Chest pain
- Palpitation of the heart
- Short breath
- Difficulty being calm and still
- Dry mouth
- Nausea
- Tension in muscle
- Dizziness
- A numb and tingling feeling
